Yesterday, 16th October, 2021, the MCE for Techiman Municipal, on behalf of the Techiman south MP, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and Techiman Municipal Assembly led a team to Ohene Ameyaw park to ascertain progress of works in the stadium.

Upon observing the slow pace at which works were progressing, he arranged for additional workers to fast track the works.
This became necessary because the facility has been rated by a team of GFA Inspectors as unfit for playing Premier League matches and recommended for some works to be done to meet certain standards.

Pursuant to above, TMA is
– reconstructing inner parameter to 10ft tall
– Repositioning existing camera stands and providing additional one
– Assisting to clear weeds and debris at the field

It is worthy to mention that Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah’s 1000 VIP and Normal seating stands which is under construction at the stadium is almost complete.

We thank the clubs and all stakeholders who have contributed and still contributing in diverse ways towards this renovation works

Finally, we are appealing to the general public and organisations to extend support to the clubs in the Municipality to promote sports development.
