The MCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 participated in a Regional forum on National Energy Transition Plan at AJ Plaza hotel, Techiman.

They discussed Ghana’s plans to shift from carbon-based systems of energy production and consumption such as oil, coal and fuels to clean energy sources like wind, solar and nuclear to reduce Carbon dioxide emissions towards near-zero.

It was attended by the Bono- East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan, Deputy Energy Minister, Hon. William Owiredu Edu, Deputy Transport Minister , Hon. Fredrick Adom, Bono East MDCE’S, Assemblymembers and Heads of departments and Nananom.

Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko later in the day visited trainees who were selected from selected schools across the Bono East Region to undergo Training to train Pupils from primary 5 to JHS level under government’s Girls-in-ICT (GIICT) initiative program scheduled to train 1000 girls in the region.
