Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko today 10th January, 2023 marked the yearly visits of My First Day at School’ within the Municipality.

He was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. John Kwadwo Amissah and other delegations from the Education Directorate and the Municipal Assembly.

The day is set aside to welcome young children who are beginning school to generate their interest in education.

The MCE had interaction with the fresh entrants and advised them to be punctual in School and encouraged them to take their studies seriously in order to realise their future aspirations.
The teachers ceased the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges in the schools with him.

They mentioned poor school infrastructure and inadequate tables and chairs for both teachers and pupils.

He presented pieces of kalyppo drinks to the kids as a token to mark their first day at school.

The schools visited included St. Francis R/C Primary A and Techiman M/A Baptist Primary school respectively.
