INAUGURATION OF MUNICIPAL EDUCATION OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE(MEOC)

Pursuant to section 22(6) of the Education Service Act 2008, Act 778, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko yesterday constituted the Municipal Education Oversight Committee(MEOC) to oversee general educational improvement in the municipality.

The 13 member committee was inaugurated by the Chief Director of the Bono East Regional Coordinating council, Mr George Padmore Mensah, on behalf of the Regional Minister.

The committee is Chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive.
Right after the inauguration, the Committee formed the following sub -committees to facilitate their work
a. Disciplinary sub-committee
b. Administration and Finance Sub-committee
c. Monitoring and Evaluation sub-committee.
