This morning, we presented funds and items amounting to GHC 78,000.00 to 45 persons living with disability through PWD share of common fund.

In all, 35 of the beneficiaries received cash for their petty trading, 4 people received cash for education purposes and the remaining 6 received deep freezer each for their business.
This gesture is part of government support to empower persons living with disabilities economically to improve their livelihood.
Last year, the government, through Techiman Municipal Assembly’s share of the Disability common fund, assisted 122 persons with an amount of GHC 190,000.00 to support the beneficiaries in the areas of health, education, and petty trades.
Thanks to Nana Nifahene of Techiman Traditional council, who is the chairman of the PWD fund management committee and the committee members for their continue commitment to their mandate and cooperation so far.
